Cyber World!!!

I believe that the internet has changed many things. Cyber world or space is very much so a real thing in my opinion. With so many social networking sites, you can escape reality of having actual face to face relationships with people and still keep in touch.

You can also visit many different places with just a search in a search engine like yahoo or google. If you want to shop without going directly to the mall or store, you can freely do online shopping with a few clicks.

Also there is a lot of privacy with the internet. You can do what you want without a next door neighbor bothering you or being in your business.

I think the internet or virtual things are a way to escape from reality. They can be a disservice. Technology in general can be as well. No one wants to call people anymore, they just IM each other or send a text message. Virtuality is also a form of imitation. For example The Sims, or creating an Avatar. Video games are also a tool in desocializing.

I am for the advancement of technology, but at the same time I will like to keep the authentic things going. Technology should be a supplement, not a replacement.
