Batman
I hate the cookie cutter hero's in fiction the ones who exemplify excellence and their only flaw is the super model girlfriend that they fall for or have some fake illness towards an unknown and obviously fake substance. To me a Hero should embody the core values of society as well as have the strength to carry other peoples weaknesses even though they themselves are just as flawed as the next person. To me Batman holds these values true to his heart in the DC/Marvel comic books as well as the recent reboot in the movie franchise batman is a deeply flawed individual who has emotional scarring and deep seeded connection issues, a lot of which many people in the regular world can identify with. His pain is the city of Gotham's salvation simply because he desires and wants people young and old, man or woman to live their day to day lives without the constant fear looming overhead of violent crime. I feel he uses his tortured past as a method to strengthen his resolve and help those who are weaker than himself, a truly self sacrificing individual.

Good work. There is something to be said for down-to-life heroes who exhibit real flaws and remind us of what it's like to be human.
