"Wow,... You're my Hero!!"
The person that represents the heroic ideal to me is my mother. I pick my mother because she is a very Strong African American female who raised my brothers and sisters and I mostly on her own. She has always kept a good well paying job (which in today's society can be extremely hard) and never made excuses. My mom also has certain ideals in the culture in the case that more and more families do not have both parents living under the same roof. In my moms' case she managed to stay on her feet and even raise 5 boys (which is not an easy job for any female). My siblings and all have good morals and values and (those of us who are old enough) have gone off to continue our educations in the University/ college levels. Although I know it was tough my mom never showed us any signs of her struggle in any thing tht she did. Another value my mother has taught me is tht is it always hard to find equal and fair treatment in the work place for females, bt this is something tht I myself can overcome by doing my best. This is why I believe tht for me, my mother represents the heroic ideal in society today.
