We think the game means that it is satisfiying to read through a paper and try and pick out the errors to try and get through the paper that you are reading more easily and satisfying. The main point that Williams is trying to say about errors is that it is more like a personal belief of what is subjective and what is relative. If someone is to talk a certain way they would be more incline to write a certain way. In williams article he was trying to focus on the readers than the writers becuase the readers is always the one saying that it is not right and what not. grammarians violate there own rules in ways becuase its all based on their experience of the person becuase they might not agree with someone else on the way you spot these errors.
