Overall I thought the eassay make some very good key pints about hw sound is precieved and hw it is the most common medium used. Im my opinion sounds jus seems to tie everything together.

Hearing Is Believing!!
The blogg was ever entertain when I first listened to it. So much so tht I kinda forgot Y I was even supposed to be listening to it in the first place.:) Bt the second time around I listened more carfully and I agree. Most of the world today is based more on the way things sound rather the the actuall content of what is being said or heard. When looked at closer most of ththings we do in everyday life invovle some type of sound. Wether it be to futher elaborate on a situation, or sound is the onlii medium through which the message is percieved. For instance when the song "Jonny Be Good" was used as a example of jus hw something is said makes it sound even better. when u first listen to the lines u kinda thnk "maan this song is deep" "and what he's saying is important" whe in reality all chuck Berry is singing about is where tht Johnny dude is frm. Another good point brought up in the essay is, when onlii sound is provided, its gives you a wider range of Imaginitive idea to choose frm. You arent limited to onlii one thing you can picture. And example of this was when On-air comedian Stan Freebird (i thnk thts it?) described the whole lake michigan scene being like a big "sunday". The way he describes the things as they happen, and the sound effects wen hear make it easier for us to picture it in our minds, hw ever we see fit. Where as if we were to see this on televison there is already a set image to go off of.

Or, in the case of music, the way things sound IS the content. It IS what is being said. I can sing a line to a song, like "I really miss you." There is a static meaning to those words, but what those words mean actually CHANGES depending on HOW you sing the line, no? What if the singer is being sarcastic?
Good post.
