I think as far as the internet goes I don't really have a strong opinion on whether it is a nice place to stay or not. I don't think it is a bad place to stay, but whether you like it or not it is here to stay period. The influences the internet puts on us aren't necessarily a good thing but good can come from the internet. For example putting you in connection with people you wouldn't talk to otherwise. You can stay connected to friends and family. The people on the internet are connected through social websites, e-mail, and other various things. The people share the connection but it can also encourage isolation. It really depends on who you are. I personally have a facebook and a myspace and I don't think I'm isolated at all. You just have to find a good balance between a few minutes on the internet, and reality. Some people would rather sit inside on facebook then go outside on an awesome day. This I don't really understand and I think those people are making themselves isolated.
