"a nice place to stay..."

This statement kind of confused me. I thought about the phrase with other websites that I use such as Facebook and Twitter. People who like to go on the internet and have webpages of themselves sometimes have a different opinion of their favorite website. My favorite website to visit is Facebook. I have Twitter on my Blackberry so I don't really go on the actual website because everyone's tweets get sent to my phone. When I was in high school my favorite website was MySpace. Now, I probably go on myspace once every for month just because I remember I still have an account. When it comes to search engines I prefer Google. So I guess you could say i prefer to "stay" at Google. When I read "a nice place to stay" I think of an advertisement for a hotel. I guess this could mean a place where you are comfortable. I am comfortable at Google because it's very simple with very little advertisements and clutter. I prefer Facebook over MySpace because a lot more of my friends are on Facebook and it's a lot simpler to manage.
Usually when someone uses a search engine they tend to go back to the same one every time. If someone is use to typing in information in Google, then they are more likely to go to Google every time. They start to get use to where everything is and the features that Google has over the features Yahoo may have. If a professor asked me to use Yahoo instead on Google as a search engine it will most likely take me longer to find the information compared to if I were using Google.
When if comes to websites where you are comfortable at, I definitely think that there is a connection of isolation. If I were to meet someone for a different country that was here to visit for a trip and they had a Facebook, I would most likely ask them to be my friend on Facebook. From there I am more likely to stay in touch with that person and see how their life is going. If Facebook didn't exist, I would probably never see or hear from that person again. The internet and new websites have definitely kept the world connected.
