when carr says his mind is changing hes meaning that he doesnt look at things the way he used to. he used to be patient with his readngs and take time to understand them but now he just wants everything 'fast' and in a rush.
his need for wanting things in a fatser easier manner is changing
benefits of the internet are that its faster and theres more things u want or need at ur fingertips and you dont have to do much to get them.
the medium can shape its users according to carr bc...'the Net seems to be doing is chipping away my capacity for concentration and contemplation. My mind now expects to take in information the way the Net distributes it: in a swiftly moving stream of particles. Once I was a scuba diver in the sea of words. Now I zip along the surface like a guy on a Jet Ski.'
Overall we use computers to understand everything thats going on instead of looking into things for ourselves with our own understanding of their worth...basically we rely on other tools to understand in stead of trying to self learn and explore things for ourselves
