Internet

I don't really think that the Internet is a nice place to stay. I think that the Internet tends to give the illusion of connection when in fact it is not really there. You might be interacting with a large group of people but I am not sure how much of a real connection there is with the majority of them. The Internet is not really the place to have those heart to heart conversations that are required for a real connection with someone. I really don't feel a sense of connection at all when I am on the Internet if anything I feel totally alone. I might sit on a computer and talk to 50 people but if I am not actually interacting with them than I don't feel very connected. If anything I feel sorry for the people that sit in front of a computer screen all day and talk to people on twitter of facebook. I also feel sorry for the people that are reading that senseless dribble. For me I find it more important to make friendships with the poeple around me I find that those friendships are more meaningful than ones with people I meet on the internet.

  1. Well said, Alex. No matter what one thinks of the internet, it's no substitute for F2F interaction.
