First of all I think Obama made the changes he did because he understands the importance of revision. He knows that in order to make something truly great you need to go over it and make it the best you can. I think when going over the speech he decided to go in a slightly different direction which inspired the changes he made. I think going in the direction of stating important names throughout the speech was a good choice and overall helped make the speech more effective. If he didn't revise it the speech might not have been as good which is weird to think small changes can make that much of a difference. I believe the revisions Obama mad were a good choice and most likely helped the delivery and effect of his speech.
