Who needs a newspaper?
This article was very interesting! It made me think about the media and how we get our news. Honestly I am not one of those people that grab a newspaper and read it everyday or every sunday. I don't watch local news because I believe there really is no point. The only thing you get out of the local news is the weather and half of the time thats wrong. Local news is only thirty minutes long, 10-15 minutes of the program is commercials, weather takes up 5 minutes, and sports news takes up another 5. That leaves 5 minutes for news? It's kind of ridiculous. I do however watch programs like CNN once in a while. I even like BBC. I like unbiased news, which is nearly impossible to find these days! When it comes to the newspaper I also think that one day they will completely disappear and we will get the majority of our news from online. Everyone loves yahoo's homepage! It gives you a variety of news with a click of a button. I like reading my news online, simply because it's convenient. It might be the same information that was in the paper that day but it's just easier to read it online! I don't trust the majority of the media anyways. News is created by amateurs these days. News stations have a 24 hour slot to fill with news. I wonder how much of the news is actually legit and how much they just make up to fill up time. It really makes you think. It's important to be informed because you can't be oblivious to the world around you. But don't believe everything your read or hear.

Definitely not. It's more important than ever that we approach our news (and all sources of information)with a cautious, critical eye.
