Obama

I believe that Obama was trying to reach out to the citizens of the United States and kind of show them that he knows what they grow. It showed a little sympathy and understanding for the every day, working American. I support the changes he made to the speech, I believe it would reach out too more people and more people would understand. He added more pronouns and active verbs which I think gives him more credibility. It would definitely make the sound of the speech more personable and easier to understand. He used examples and he was not biased. It's very positive which definitely reassures the government and the citizens of the U.S. I didn't really find anything negative changes to the speech, it is very easy to relate to. I am a strong believer in the healthcare act that he passed because I know many unfortunate people that can't afford healthcare and I think it's going to take the U.S.A in a more positive, caring direction even though many don't agree with that.

  1. Good points. Obama definitely is going for something "more personable" here...
