A Mr. Obama
I found the revisions in Mr. Obama's speech to be rather interesting. The original version has a more cold feel to it. After you read it you feel less included and more alienated. I think in the second version there is more of a sense of inclusion that one would not find in the first version of his speech. It was probably for the better that he included some of the words that he did. In reading the first version I get the feeling that Mr. Obama is in favor of bigger government. That feeling is a little less in the second version of of the speech. I think that was an important move to make because you want to please both sides of the isle as best you can and he achieved that better than he would have if he went with the first version of the speech. Overall I think that his revision was definitely for the best.

Absolutely - this is what jumped out at me, too.
